brand spotlight: 31 bits

most of you probably know of 31 bits, but i had to spotlight them anyway. they’re one of the better known jewelry brands who have trumpeted fairly made goods from their inception.

right now i have a major crush on them particularly because of my daughter. her birthday is coming up, and a visit from one set of grandparents this past weekend meant she got to open a couple of presents early. one of them was a bitsies necklace. she has tried to put it back on with her pajamas every night since receiving it.

yes, they have an entire section devoted to jewelry for young girls as well as all of their goodness for women. {here’s my current fave}

and if that wasn’t quite enough for you they have not only added more metal jewelry options, they also now have a goods section. their goods are mostly comprised of different types of bags, all of which are hand woven by artisans in bali using a certain type of grass that can only be found there.

this drum bag is currently backordered, but it’s also fantastic!

just like other brands we’ve spotlighted, 31 bits uses a “trade, not aid” model to give people dignified work, and enable them to rise out of poverty.

you can read more about their mission here.

if you haven’t heard about them, go check them out and do some early christmas shopping! {or do what i did, and add some goodies to your own christmas list!}

i hope you all had a splendid time watching the eclipse yesterday.

enjoy your tuesday!
